Smith & Bresson Club

Smith & Bresson Club
Smith & Bresson Club - I was inspired to create the Smith & Bresson Club for photography by the Pope and Young Club, which is for bowhunters. There are certain requirements, which a bow kill needs to satisfy in order to qualify for acceptance in the Pope and Young Club. The criteria to be accepted in the Smith & Bresson club will be based on my own subjective view of my work, which I will score. In short, those photographs that are part of this club will be my best work and those pieces, which would be part of an exhibition. Any photos that meet this criteria, will be marked by a small skull icon. Black Stallion

'Black Stallion' - 2015                                                                                                                                                               snake
INSTINCTIVE SHOOTING:   Sometimes when photographing, a moment in time passes quickly and it is impossible to focus in time.  However, the instinctive hand and eye coordination comes into motion and I was able to frame the horse in the rectangle and the focus not being sharp adds to the image rather than taking away from the composition.

In bowhunting, the same instinctive shot happens from time to time.  A deer suddenly presents itself to the hunter who has a split second to quickly pick a spot in the heart, lung area of the deer, draw back and release the arrow so it hits its mark accurately.  This is an instinctive shot.
