'Bob Dylan' - 1982 snake |
Camouflage. A whitetail deer blends into its surroundings almost magically. Often times the only thing that gives it away is the flick of a tail, momentarily exposing the white under coloring of it.
The best chance a bowhunter has to send an arrow to an unsuspecting deer is when its head is shielded by a tree trunk or limb, leaving its chest exposed, thus enabling the hunter to draw back the bowstring undetected to send the arrow to its mark. It doesn't always happen, but it sure is nice when it does.
