Smith & Bresson Club
Smith & Bresson Club - I was inspired to create the Smith & Bresson Club for photography by the Pope and Young Club, which is for bowhunters. There are certain requirements, which a bow kill needs to satisfy in order to qualify for acceptance in the Pope and Young Club. The criteria to be accepted in the Smith & Bresson club will be based on my own subjective view of my work, which I will score. In short, those photographs that are part of this club will be my best work and those pieces, which would be part of an exhibition. Any photos that meet this criteria, will be marked by a small skull icon. Yin & Yang

Sometimes, while in the woods, you may think you see a big-antlered buck in the distance. But on closer inspection, it turns out to be nothing more than a bunch of leafless branches, blowing in the wind.
Things are often not as they first appear.
This is a photograph of a simple bathtub, discarded and left on the side of the road. The setting sun helped create a shadow on one side, adding to the pure abstraction...and perhaps, the misconception, of the composition.

I have taken care of my scanner problems. I can again, correctly scan my 35mm film frames and 'print' them onto this blog.
Once there is a mechanical problem with bowhunting equipment, it always feels nice when the problem is corrected and the arrows fly true again.

Grazing

The hunt continues. During a hunt, things can go wrong. Equipment may fail…anything can happen. It’s up to the bow hunter to have many plan B’s available in
order to have a successful hunt. The chase must continue.
I have a technical problem with my scanner. My
negatives are scanning unevenly and the equipment cannot be repaired and must be replaced. I will have another machine in about
one week but I will still post a daily photograph. I won't be able to ‘print’ my image as best as possible but I will re-post the photos once my new scanner arrives.
